I would pay money for new maps, weapons, and perks for COD4.just not $60.The game, which was initially released back in 2009 on November 10, still brings back countless memories to people who have now moved on from the gaming scene, as well as those who are finally allowed to play the game, by law that is. But playing COD4 that has been modded is not worth $60. I will give you that the MP is fun to play.

A DIRECT RIP-OFF! IW saw the mod made by Joker and thought it was a good idea and STOLE IT! Case in point, the AC130 is a direct rip-off of the mod made by Joker. There are some new items and kill streaks that are cool, but honestly, it's nothing that couldn't be done in COD4 with a mod. The MP is basically the same as COD4 with new weapons and perks.
You can stretch it out if you play harder difficulties or putz around- but not much longer. And yes, it only takes about 5 hours to finish. The fact that it only takes 5 hours to finish adds support to this claim. Almost as if SP was an afterthought to MP and was also just thrown in there.

It was way too easy for me and once I finished it, I had no desire to play them again.Īs far as the SP goes, maybe you're too young to have seen the movie Red Dawn (they're doing a remake of it) but that's exactly what this game reminds me of. To me, it really feels like it was just tacked on there to imitate what Treyarch did with Nazi Zombies. You may find it fun to play the co-op and that's fine, but it didn't take much effort to create the co-op mode. All they do is hide behind cover and wait or else charge. All they do is just add an objective on the map and insert bots with absolutely HORRID AI. The maps used are just the maps from the single player game. It's just tweaked a bit so it has better textures. Not bad scores but for $60 I want the game quality to reflect the price.

The PC reviews I've seen are not nearly as high as the console reviews. You have a right to your own opinion but I really feel most reviewers are biased towards the game and are basing their reviews on the console versions (that and some are paid by Activision). Definitely worth the price, and the vast majority of reviewers will back up everything I've said. The game is polished to near perfection, the singleplayer is more like 6-7 hours (short, but extremely high quality), and everything looks and plays better than the first. Although themultiplayer feels kind of the same, it's so substantially improved with all the tweaks and rebalancing I've even got friends who hated mw1 to like it. The co-op is definitely NOT tacked on and is about the best co-op experience I've played.
The graphics and sound are greatly improved and even though the story is hard to follow the singleplayer is still incredibly impressive, more so in gameplay than mw1. I will give you the story is a convoluted mess, but that's it. I'm upset about the servers too, but your post makes it sound like you haven't even played the game for more than a couple hours. You obviously are speaking just from how upset you are about dedicated servers because mw2 is brilliant in almost every way and there's areason it's averaging a 9.5 score on metacritic.
